Find a Big Walk Group

Find Big Walk teammates through Steam, Reddit and official community channels, with join-code etiquette, mic expectations, time zones and safety tips.

Big Walk has no public matchmaking. A good LFG post says platform, time zone, player count, mic preference and current objective—not just a room code.

Where to look

Steam Community

The Steam Big Walk discussions are the most searchable place for current LFG posts, connection questions and puzzle help. A code in a discussion can expire quickly, so sort by recent posts and reply with your time zone before joining.

Reddit

The r/BigWalk subreddit has recurring LFG threads. The August 6 LFG thread shows the useful format: players state the tower they are near, whether they use a mic and whether they want a relaxed or completionist run.

Official updates and social posts

Follow House House on X for launch news and official announcements. X is useful for knowing when a patch or event changed the rules, but it is not a reliable archive for permanent join codes.

Write a useful LFG post

Platform(s): Steam / PS5 / Switch 2
Time zone + start time:
Players wanted: 1–3
Mic: required / preferred / text okay
Run: first story / 100% / speedrun practice
Current location: beach / red / blue / green / yellow / endgame
Tone: quiet / relaxed / puzzle-focused / chaotic

Do not publish a stranger's code on a permanent guide page. Put short-lived codes in the live community thread instead.

Before you join

  • Confirm the host platform and whether crossplay is enabled.
  • Ask which world size the host selected: 2, 3 or 4+.
  • Agree whether outside voice chat is welcome; proximity voice is part of the intended puzzle design, but accessibility comes first.
  • Decide who owns the host save and whether this is a story or cleanup session.
  • Keep personal information out of voice chat and leave a group that makes you uncomfortable.

Use the player-count guide to pick a session size and multiplayer tips for roles once the group forms.

If a code stops working

  1. Ask the host to confirm the session is still open.
  2. Request a fresh Join Code instead of retrying an old one.
  3. If a player crashed, have the host fully restart the game before recreating the code.
  4. Check the troubleshooting hub for the “connection to host timed out” sequence.

Post-game and 100% LFG demand

Recent LFG threads now distinguish first-story runs from 100% cleanup, the secret ending and Big Game groups. Add platform, region, language, age preference, mic preference, world size and current tower or cleanup state to a post; never publish a live Join Code, password or console friend code because hosts replace them after crashes.
