Big Walk Ending Explained

Big Walk's ending explained: the colored towers, the black tower, the credits and Big Goodbye — plus how the purple remix puzzles unlock the Big Game trophy.

Spoiler warning. This page discusses how Big Walk ends — including post-game content and the requirements for the complete ending. If you'd rather discover the island's conclusion yourself, close this tab and come back after the credits. You've been warned.

Does Big Walk have an ending?

Yes — and it's a real one. The official FAQ confirms Big Walk has a hand-crafted, start-to-finish ending. This isn't an endless sandbox: the walk leads somewhere, and the developers built a proper conclusion for it.

How the ending unfolds

Insider Gaming's full-ending guide and All Things How's true-ending walkthrough agree on the shape of the finale:

One mercy, per Insider Gaming: you do not need every puzzle on the island for this first ending — the world holds more prizes than the main objectives require, and skipped challenges won't block the credits.

After the credits: the purple puzzles

The ending isn't the end. Post-game adds seven harder "purple" remix puzzles to the island — tougher reworkings of challenges you've already solved, described by Insider Gaming as some of the toughest content in the game.

The complete ending and Big Game

There are two ending-adjacent trophies, and the difference matters:

With 100% completion, you receive one last key. All Things How's walkthrough describes what to do with it: the small black sphere back in the tutorial area has cracked open, revealing a keyhole — inserting the key opens a secret room with stairs leading down, and what's below triggers the true ending and Big Game. PSNProfiles currently lists both ending trophies as ultra rare, so finishing them puts your group in small company.

To be confirmed: Exactly what the true ending shows inside that secret room — available accounts are single-sourced, so we're keeping it vague rather than risk misreporting the finale. The unlock path above is confirmed by two independent outlets.
