No — as of 2026, Big Walk is not on Xbox consoles or Xbox Game Pass. The official Big Walk FAQ lists Windows and Mac, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 as the supported platforms, then says that no other platforms are planned at this time.
That answer covers Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the console Game Pass library and PC Game Pass. The game is sold on Steam for Windows and Mac, but a Windows release on Steam does not make it a PC Game Pass title.
Big Walk Xbox and Game Pass status
| Question | Current answer |
|---|---|
| Is Big Walk on Xbox Series X or Series S? | No |
| Is Big Walk on Xbox One? | No |
| Is Big Walk on Xbox Game Pass? | No |
| Is Big Walk on PC Game Pass? | No |
| Has an Xbox release date been announced? | No |
| Is an Xbox version planned? | The official FAQ says no other platforms are planned at this time |
The phrase “at this time” leaves room for a future business decision, but it is not an announcement or a hint. Until House House, Panic or an Xbox store listing says otherwise, there is no confirmed Xbox version or Game Pass date.
Why Big Walk is not on Xbox Game Pass
Game Pass availability requires an Xbox or Microsoft Store release agreement. Big Walk currently has neither an Xbox console listing nor a PC Microsoft Store listing, so it cannot be downloaded through Game Pass.
Do not confuse the game’s full crossplay support with platform availability. Crossplay lets supported versions play together; it does not let an Xbox console join without an Xbox version of the game.
Where can you play Big Walk instead?
Big Walk is officially available on:
- Windows PC through Steam;
- Mac through Steam or the Mac App Store, with Apple Silicon required;
- PlayStation 5 through the PlayStation Store;
- Nintendo Switch 2 through Nintendo eShop.
All supported versions can play together online. If an Xbox player also owns a suitable Windows PC, the Steam version is the closest option because it uses the same Microsoft-compatible controllers and can join friends on PS5, Mac and Switch 2.
See the complete Big Walk platforms guide for store links and system requirements, or the PS5 guide for PlayStation-specific online requirements.
Can an Xbox controller play Big Walk on PC?
Yes. An Xbox controller can be used with the Steam version on a compatible Windows PC. The official FAQ also includes a troubleshooting note for Xbox Wireless Controller users on Mac: create a controller profile for the Steam app in macOS Game Controllers settings and enable increased compatibility.
Controller support does not mean the game runs on an Xbox console. You still need a supported computer and a Steam copy.
Can Xbox players join Big Walk through cloud gaming?
There is no officially announced Xbox Cloud Gaming version. The PlayStation Store separately lists PS5 cloud streaming for eligible PlayStation Plus Premium users in supported regions, but that is a PlayStation feature and does not add Big Walk to Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Third-party PC streaming can mirror a personal computer to another screen, but it is not an Xbox release and may add latency to voice chat or controls. Treat it as remote access to the Steam version, not a Game Pass workaround.
What to watch for if the Xbox status changes
Use first-party sources rather than release-date aggregators. A real change should appear in at least one of these places:
- the official Big Walk FAQ;
- an announcement from House House or publisher Panic;
- an official Xbox or Microsoft Store product page.
Until one of those sources changes, pages claiming a hidden Xbox release date or a coming Game Pass drop are unconfirmed.
