Is Big Walk free on PS5 with PS Plus?
Big Walk is included as an August 2026 PlayStation Plus Monthly Game, not simply a limited trial. Add it to your library by August 31 while your membership is active; the store shows the exact local cutoff time.
Monthly Game access follows PlayStation’s subscription rules. If you miss the claim window, or if your subscription lapses, check the live store page rather than assuming the offer still applies. The game also has a normal purchase listing.
Does Big Walk PS5 require PlayStation Plus?
Yes for online play. The PlayStation Store labels Big Walk as online-play-only and says PS Plus is required for online multiplayer. Because Big Walk has no single-player mode, this is a practical requirement for playing the PS5 version.
Each player needs access on their own device. Big Walk does not support couch co-op or split screen, so a second controller cannot add another local player to the same PS5.
Does Big Walk PS5 support crossplay?
Yes. PS5 players can join friends on Steam for Windows or Mac, the Mac App Store and Nintendo Switch 2. The group can use platform friend invites where available or share the host’s Join Code.
There is currently no Xbox version, so full crossplay means every supported platform rather than every console family. Use the co-op and crossplay guide for hosting, Join Codes, world sizes and save ownership.
Is Big Walk on PS4?
No PS4 edition is listed. The official FAQ names PlayStation 5, and the PlayStation Store product is marked PS5. Buying or claiming the PS5 game does not create a PS4 download.
PS4 owners should not rely on a generic “PlayStation” search result. Check the platform badge on the product page before purchasing or claiming.
How saves work on PS5
The host owns the shared world and Big Walk saves progress automatically. When the group returns, the same host should load that world first, then invite the other players back.
Guests do not receive an independent copy of the host’s world. Choose a reliable host before a long campaign, and use the save guide before switching devices or troubleshooting a missing session.
PS5 voice chat, controllers and accessibility
Big Walk uses distance-based in-game voice chat as part of its puzzles. Voices fade over distance, muffle through walls and travel through tools such as walkie-talkies. The official FAQ recommends using the in-game communication rather than sitting together in the same room.
The PS5 version also has a dedicated voice-chat mute toggle. Big Walk supports rebindable controls, an FOV slider, motion-sickness settings and the option to skip challenges; check the live settings because labels can change with updates.
