Big Walk Waist Bag (Belt)

Big Walk Waist Bag guide: the belt adds a second slot for small tools like radios and walkie-talkies, how it differs from a backpack, and the Big Help trophy.

The Waist Bag — often described as a belt or hip pouch — is the smaller of Big Walk's two carry upgrades. It adds one extra slot to a player's loadout, but only for compact tools such as radios and walkie-talkies. It is a dedicated pocket for communication gear rather than a general overflow slot: it helps, but it does not replace a proper carry upgrade. Names and use here come from GAMES.GG's all-tools guide; the connection to the Big Help trophy is the site's separately sourced collectible note.

What the Waist Bag does

By default each Big Walk player can hold one item at a time. Two tools change that limit:

  • Waist Bag (belt). Grants a second slot, but only accepts smaller items like Radios and Walkie-Talkies. Think of it as a dedicated communication pocket — useful for keeping a walkie-talkie on you while your hands work a puzzle, but not a general overflow slot.
  • Backpack. The real solution. It adds a full extra item slot that accepts any item regardless of size or shape, so you can carry two tools at once without restriction.

The Waist Bag helps a player stay reachable — keeping a radio on their hip means a split team can still talk even when both hands are busy — but it will not hold a puzzle prize or a paper map. For a bag that can carry any object, see the backpack location guide.

When to use the Waist Bag

Pick the belt when the item you most need to keep available is a communication tool:

  1. Put a walkie-talkie or radio in the bag so it stays on you while your hands are full.
  2. Keep your single carried slot free for the puzzle prop, prize or navigation item the route needs next.
  3. Let the player acting as the group's relay carry the belt, so they never lose contact with a split team.

The trade-off is the size limit. If the group needs to carry two larger tools at once, a backpack or carrier bag is the better choice; the belt only ever holds small gear.

Waist Bag and the Big Help trophy

The Big Help trophy asks you to wear something on your hip. Hip items such as walkie-talkie belts are found in the island's blue circular buildings, and — like the backpack — a teammate has to equip them on you; you cannot put the belt on yourself. The trophy guide lists Big Help among the gear-find objectives and the item guide covers the full loadout picture.
